Laura Herman is a Managing Director at FSG with over 15 years of consulting experience. Laura led one of the firm’s first Collective Impact engagements reforming the New York Juvenile Justice system. This engagement brought together leaders from over 20 agencies across the state and city juvenile justice, education, and police to develop a new vision for juvenile justice in the state, create a strategy for realizing that vision and create a system for measuring progress. The session will provide an overview of the collective impact model for cross-sector collaboration and will include an opportunity for participants to experience the tensions associated with working collaboratively for community based change.
