Each year, Charities@Work seeks to recognize outstanding work in the field of employee engagement, CSR and campaign management. We recognize companies, teams and individuals for their best in class and innovative practices. Self-nominations are encouraged along with nominations from team members on behalf of other individuals or from Charities@Work partners on behalf of corporate partners. The Corporate Excellence Award winner is Ameriprise Financial
The Charities@Work Corporate Excellence Award is our top award, given annually to one corporation for overall excellence in employee engagement, CSR and campaign management.
The mission of the Ameriprise Community Relations program is to help strengthen communities and the Ameriprise brand by engaging its employees and advisors in strategic philanthropic programs, connecting resources with those who need them and facilitating a common experience for employees and advisors through community building. Key aspects of its Community Relations work include the National Day of Service, employee gift matching and the Annual Giving Campaign, and a corporate grant-making program.

The Corporate Partner Award winner is American Express
The Charities@Work Corporate Partner Award is awarded annually to up to four private sector workplace giving partners for overall workplace giving campaign excellence including employee engagement, leadership involvement and other best practices.
American Express believes that serving their communities is not only integral to running a business successfully; it is part of their individual responsibilities as citizens of the world. The mission of their program is to bring to life the American Express value of good corporate citizenship by supporting communities in ways that enhance the company’s reputation with employees, customers, business partners and other stakeholders.

The Innovation of Year Award winner is UnitedHealth Group
The Charities@Work Innovation of the Year Award is presented an individual, team or company that has shown exceptional innovation in their work with Corporate Social Responsibility, and Employee and Philanthropic Engagement. This award recognizes creative thought and engagement in innovative programming and partnerships in the field of CSR and employee engagement.
UnitedHealth Group is a diversified health and well-being company dedicated to helping people live healthier lives and making health care work better; the company serves more than 75 million people worldwide and offers a broad spectrum of products and services through two business platforms: UnitedHealthcare, which provides health care coverage and benefits services; and Optum, which provides information and technology-enabled health services.

The Partner of the Year Award winner is Jenessa Jensen
The Charties@Work Partner of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual who has served as an exceptional partner to giving partners and nonprofits in his or her work with employee engagement. The individual has worked to advance programs within their organization that have made lasting and deep impacts on a local, national and/or international level.
As the manager of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) workplace giving campaign, Jenessa oversees all aspects of the complex campaign. The Giving Campaign, which aligns closely with two of UHG’s core values – compassion and relationships, helps UHG employees live the UHG mission of “helping people live healthier lives” by empowering them with the choice of giving to the nonprofit of their choice and
making an impact where it matters to them most.

The Rising Star Award winner is Accenture’s Robin Boggs
The Charities@Work Rising Star Award is awarded annually to an individual who has worked in employee engagement for one to seven years and through his or her work has shown exceptional leadership and has exempliﬁed professionalism and creativity in the areas of corporate social responsibility and employee engagement.
After 12 years in Accenture’s consulting workforce, Robin became the company’s US Corporate Citizenship Lead in 2010. Since then she has been focused on aligning Accenture’s US employee engagement programs with the company’s global corporate citizenship initiative, Skills to Succeed, which aims to equip 500,000 people around the world by 2015 with the skills to get a job or build a business.
